Birds
I can't take credit for this little activity, I found it online. It's so simple, but the boys thought it was really fun. The interest in it lasted much longer than I'd expected.
I told them they were going to be birds. They each got a beak (clothes pin) and I had them pick a spot to be their nest. Then I put little pieces of pipe cleaners (worms) all around the room on the floor. I told them they had to use their beaks to pick up worms and take them back to their nests. I think we spread them back out and did it again about 3 times.
Making cookies
Today felt like a good day to make cookies.

There are a few that are going to be terribly sweet thanks to all the icing on them :)

Due Date
Well, yesterday was my due date with Michael and Anna. They're actually supposed to be here now! It really doesn't seem like it's been almost 5 weeks already (on Tuesday). The time has gone so fast already. I guess staying busy with 4 little ones will do that. :)
Wow, we really do have 4 kids. I was reminded of this fact (lilke I forgot!) tonight at supper. We ventured to Columbus this afternoon with all 4. It got to be about supper time and we decided we either needed to get something to eat or get home because the big boys were getting hungry and grouchy. After a little debating about whether we really wanted to take 2 tired boys and 2 soon to be hungry babies out to eat we decided, "why not?" So anyway, back to my reminder about our family size...
We went to Rivera Maya and when the host asked how many, I thought a second and realized the answer was, "6!". Yep. We're now a family of 6.
A little picture from today. No, it doesn't have anything to do with what I've written (other than it's Michael and Anna). And yes, it's another church outfit picture. It's just so much fun having a little girl to dress and a little boy to coordinate with her. :)
First Bath(s)
Friday evening, I decided to finally give the babies their first "real" baths.
They'd had plenty of sponge baths, but this was the first time in their little tub.
Little Miss Anna
Not quite as little Mr. Michael :)
They both did great. Neither was impressed with being undressed. However once I got them in the water, they were fine. I'd call it a successful first bath time.

4 weeks old
I don't know where the time went, but they're a month old already!
At their 1 month well baby check-up on Tuesday Michael weighed 7lbs 8oz and Anna weighed 6lbs 10oz. They are both doing great!
A confession
I admitted something out loud for the first time last night. Something I knew, something I even knew would be true. I'm just getting around to admitting: this is hard. Having 2 little boys and 2 newborns is not for wimps. I'm exhausted and a little stressed at the craziest moments.
Having said that, I will say that today marks the end of my first week flying solo in this crazy little life and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I won't lie, there's been some rough moments. But I've manged a couple of outings on my own. I took all 4 to the bank and to Walmart. We have all been going to church on Sunday mornings and last night we took the babies to Wednesday night church. I even made it through my entire class without going to peek at them in the nursery! :) We even had the babies' newborn pictures taken on Saturday.

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Happy to be going for a walk :) (Or in their case, a run)
Michael and Anna's first walk
A puddle, some rocks, and a stick makes for some happy little boys!
New stamps
Aunt Brenda brought the boys some stamps to paint with. We didn't get a chance to do it while she was here. The stomach bug hit us all that week. We finally got a chance to try them out on Sunday.

New bible
Connor got a new little New Testament in his class at church. He is SO proud of that little bible. He pulled this chair up and told us he was going to read his new bible.
