First Bath(s)

Friday evening, I decided to finally give the babies their first "real" baths.  

They'd had plenty of sponge baths, but this was the first time in their little tub.

Little Miss Anna

They both did great.  Neither was impressed with being undressed. However once I got them in the water, they were fine.  I'd call it a successful first bath time.

Shaving Cream

My kitchen had quite a unique smell with the shaving cream and the cookies I was baking :)

4 weeks old

I don't know where the time went, but they're a month old already!

At their 1 month well baby check-up on Tuesday Michael weighed 7lbs 8oz and Anna weighed 6lbs 10oz.  They are both doing great!

A confession

I admitted something out loud for the first time last night.  Something I knew, something I even knew would be true.  I'm just getting around to admitting: this is hard.  Having 2 little boys and 2 newborns is not for wimps. I'm exhausted and a little stressed at the craziest moments.  

Having said that, I will say that today marks the end of my first week flying solo in this crazy little life and I'm feeling pretty good about it.  I won't lie, there's been some rough moments.  But I've manged a couple of outings on my own.  I took all 4 to the bank and to Walmart.  We have all been going to church on Sunday mornings and last night we took the babies to Wednesday night church.  I even made it through my entire class without going to peek at them in the nursery! :)  We even had the babies' newborn pictures taken on Saturday.

I feel like we're making it.  And when I feel like I'm not going to make it, something like this happens:

and I smile (take a quick picture) and thank God for the incredible ways he has blessed us.

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

New stamps

Aunt Brenda brought the boys some stamps to paint with.  We didn't get a chance to do it while she was here.  The stomach bug hit us all that week.  We finally got a chance to try them out on Sunday.

Tummy Time

Anna got fussy after a while, but Michael snuggled in and went to sleep. :)

New bible

 Connor got a new little New Testament in his class at church.  He is SO proud of that little bible. He pulled this chair up and told us he was going to read his new bible.

3 weeks old

Clearly Michael was not impressed, but Anna was at least awake this time! :)

The big boys

I started to title this "The Boys"  Then I realized that doesn't work if I'm not also talking about Michael. 

So anyway...a couple of pictures of the big boys: 

 I got a delivery of diapers and a new swing for the babies yesterday, so we had 2 big boxes to play in. :)
